It appears the new drive was faulty. The drive was tested in a couple machines and it wasn’t recognized. They should have another one tomorrow and will try again at 5pm EST.
Hopefully everything goes well tomorrow 
UPDATE: Just got word that the hard drive didn’t arrive today. So it should be there tomorrow. More updates / email once I know the drive has arrived.

Just got an update from our provider. The drive has arrived and will be fitted in roughly 4 hours. There will be about 15 minutes of downtime while this is done.
My apologies for the downtime in advance but it is minimal and things will be better space wise once all this is done
UPDATE: Just so anyone reading this knows in 1 hour the server goes down for the backup hard drive addition. Since tweeting atm doesn’t work I’ll manually post this.
As many of you may notice we are running out of hard drive space. Why is this you ask? Well its simple.. We have 2×250gb hard drives setup in raid 1 to mirror the contents of the drives. And since I started doing backups on the one drive they take up a lot of space. Triple the space to be exact..
The new hard drive is 250gb just like the other two, and will be only for backups.
Just finished paying for the drive, will update you when it has arrived and is being installed. I apologize for any downtime that may occur.

I’ve given the link to some people. I’ve been using it since the inception of XC-Host because a friend (Matt) made it and let me use it. It’s always been good to have and has been in many screenshots.. A couple days ago I thought it was time I got with the times and find something that auto-updates and will actually email me when things go wrong. For security reasons some stuff has been removed / edited out.
This new script called status2k was originally introduced to me by mjz. Many, many years ago (pre xchost). I liked it but couldn’t afford the $20 or so it was to purchase it. I knew he had found it on wht (web hosting talk) so I eventually figured out his account name and spent a good 30 minutes going through every topic he ever posted in until I found it. Glad I did too because it’s changed A LOT since I last saw it 
Best money I’ve spent in a long time!!

UPDATE @ 8:34pm: It appears my host is down as well. Page won’t load. But domaintools did a successful trace. Weird.
UPDATE @ 8:42pm: We are back.
Just upgraded php to 5.2.10… Added more extensions some by request others that I’ve been meaning to add.

Also since I now have about 8 installs of wordpress; it is a tedious task to update each one. So I’ve made a simple bash shell script that will get the latest version of wordpress and update all the installs in seconds. If you run wordpress websites and would like me to add yours to my script please leave a comment or send in a Support request. Please include the absolute path to the wordpress install in the message section.
As always I will be accepting support requests on msn messenger. But I would prefer you use the new form on this blog: http://xcblog.info/support. As said previously the support form on xc-host.com works sometimes not always.. I’ve had to open phpMyAdmin to see the support request once lol.. This new form works as an email to the support account that forwards to me. Using of course wordpress

Was exhausted last night when I got home. And just sat down on the computer Found a new theme for the blog. Suits this blogs needs!
New host my good buddy Robbie L. hooked me up. AND since I haven’t finished version 3 of XC-Host I will have a couple features / links on this blog that I will roll out in version 3 whenever it comes out.. The first will be a support form to use as the current minimalist ticket system fails a lot.
Have a couple things to change in wordpress. I’ll send out an email once I get all this fixed up to my liking

I was going to post this before I left but I made the stupid mistake of upgrading wordpress on godaddy. The admin panel was all messed up and I could not post. So what I did was contact my good friend Robbie L. and ask if he could hook me up with some hosting. I don’t need much 20mb is more than enough just for text.
Just set everything up now and got to posting this. I’m currently in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida for a business trip that ends tomorrow lol. We head back to Toronto in the afternoon so things will be slow support wise..

Last night I moved over the remaining clients and the old server is no longer in my possession. I thought it would be weird having all the sites I host in Ireland but it’s not. There are some changes though.
If you have an ssh account the port is 1970 not 22 and all ports are blocked by default unless I open them to name a few..
