Earlier today I noticed an extremely high load on mysql. I checked it out in whm and it was a client account / friend of mine who was using wordpress on his website.. To make a long story short after about 30 minutes of troubleshooting I finally figured out that it was indeed a plugin for wordpress called YARPP aka Yet Another Related Posts Plugin.

So if you are using this plugin please disable it until an update comes out. The current version is: 2.1.3. The wordpress page for this is abailable here: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/yet-another-related-posts-plugin

One last thing before I go. If anyone is having problems accessing their website please send in a Support Ticket. I had to install a new firewall this weekend to stop the hack attempts (even though the root password is over 20 characters). Still sorting out the kinks with it..

Just got this from the data center:

“We will be bringing up a new gold upstream connection to nLayer between 11pm EST on 11/6/08. This may cause some routing oddities for a short period afterward on the gold network as our route optimizer integrates the new routes.”

In other news the server has been up for a total of 115 days!
