The power outage fried some hardware. There won’t be any down time if everything goes as planned.

We will be going on generators to replace the breaker that took the brunt of the lightning hit Tuesday night.

We had the manufacturer engineer inspect it today and it sustained a lot of damage. It is functioning – but it does not have overcurrent fault protection any more since that circuitry was fried. Apparently the hit it took was “massive” according to their engineer. We also inspected the bus and all the lugs and stabs – and they were not warped so we are good on that.

We expect the replacement breaker to be here tomorrow. We are also ordering a replacement. These breakers are 20K each so lets hope this does not happen again.

We do not expect this to be a service affecting maintenance.

We are also doing a full test of the entire battery plant on Tuesday – this is the soonest the battery engineer was able to come out.

More news if anything else arises.
